Maria and her parents.
As a young child, Maria remembers how her father was not a respected man in the village. He was slow and couldn’t read. The villagers called him a mad man. Crazy.
Then God called her father, John, and gave him a sharpness of mind as well as the miraculous ability to read! Today, John has planted eight churches with Vision Nationals throughout his region and has developed leaders for each of those congregations. He is now a competent and respected leader in his area.

When Maria saw the work of Christ in her father’s life, her life was also changed. She felt a call to work among children, and she decided to come to Master’s College of Theology to prepare for a life of ministry. However, within two months she was depressed and overwhelmed. Her limited knowledge of English left her unable to understand anything at College. She called her dad to come take her home.

Maria and Dad, break time at a VN conference.
At that point, Arjuna, Vision Nationals Director, talked with her and her father to encourage her to persevere. She stayed, and has since become a leader at Master’s College of Theology. This past year, her senior year, she oversaw the Sunday School programs that the college students hold throughout Vizag city. Now that she has graduated she plans to continue her work with children and youth. She also desires to be actively involved in community groups.
What a beautiful testimony to the transformative power of the Gospel! The legacy of a mad man redeemed to become a legacy of Gospel workers!
Maria would like to thank Scott Golike and Grace Fellowship of Seattle for supporting her college studies at Master’s College of Theology. If you would like to subsidize the tuition of a Master’s College of Theology student for $75 a month, you may give online.
