Her Only Chance For An Education

Pushpa comes from a Hindu background. She has one older brother, and her parents are Kanaka Raju and Lakshmi. She comes from a remote village, in the Vizag district.

Her father used to work as a daily laborer. Unfortunately, he was bitten by a cobra in Feb 2011 and died. Since then, the burden of caring for the whole family now rests on Pushpa’s mother. Lakshmi, Pushpa’s mom, scraped enough money together to continue sending her son to school. It was her deepest desire to provide an education for her daughter as well, but it seemed impossible as there was simply not enough money.

It was then she came to know about Master’s Home for Children through one of their neighbors. After hearing all her troubles, and seeing her heart breaking that her daughter should not be subjected to a life of poverty and hard labor, we have taken Pushpa into Master’s Home.

Please be in prayer for Pushpa and her family. We believe God will do a work in her life, that she and her family may know Christ and live with a hope for the future.

Vision Nationals cares for 140 children from the time they arrive until they receive a college degree, secure a good job, and can care for themselves. It is through your support and prayers that God has allowed us to break the cycle of poverty in the lives of these children. If you would like to support a child like Pushpa for $60 a month for a full sponsorship or $30 a month for a half-sponsorship, please email Karla.
